StandardAero Business Aviation is now offering Pratt & Whitney PW305 service at its Houston facility in support of the Learjet 60 and Hawker 1000. The MRO’s Springfield, Ill. facility was the first site to begin supporting the PW300-series.

Hawker Beechcraft Services today at EBACE unveiled the aftermarket Hawker 800XPR package for the Hawker 800XP. The upgrade replaces the aircraft’s original TFE731-5BR engines with Honeywell TFE731-50R turbofans and adds Hawker Beechcraft-designed winglets to improve performance. The company is offering a special introductory price for the upgrade as it awaits certification, which is expected this year.
The recent addition of the Hawker 1000 to Haggan Aviation’s repair station certificate makes the company eligible to work on all Hawker Beechcraft models from the 1A through the 1000.
Haggan Aviation has provided routine and heavy maintenance on Hawkers and Learjets since 1996 and recently delivered its first Hawker 1000 48-month/16-year inspection with a complete interior refurbishment.
What can you say about an airplane that performs better than most people expect, as the Hawker series always has? The old Hawker 800A I flew was easy to flight plan for the most part. Fill the tanks with fuel, fill the seats and go from almost any airport with a reasonable runway length.
Hawker Beechcraft dominated the business aviation news headlines this week at Asian Aerospace in Hong Kong, announcing 10 new jet sales and the strengthening of its sales network for the promising Asian market. Macau-based charter/management operator Jet Asia ordered four midsize Hawker 900XPs, along with four shorter-range Hawker 750s.
Pratt & Whitney Canada has named EADS SECA, a subsidiary of EADS Sogerma Services, a designated overhaul facility for the PW300 series of turbofans. Engines covered by the agreement include the PW305A/B, PW306A/C and PW308A/C. As part of the appointment, SECA will support PW&C’s Eagle Service pay-by-the-hour plan.
Nayak Aircraft Services Group, headquartered in Cologne, Germany, has teamed with LoPresti Speed Merchants of Vero Beach, Florida, to certify, market, install and maintain in Europe LoPresti’s Boom Beam landing and taxi light systems, the only xenon landing and taxi lights available for business aircraft.
Honeywell has delivered the first batch of 32 TFE731-50R engines destined for Hawker’s new 900XP midsize business jet. This latest version of the engine, derived from the TFE731-50 powering the Dassault Falcon 900DX, continues a series that began with certification of the first TFE731 in 1972. Since then more than 11,000 TFE731 engines have been built.
Raytheon Aircraft signed a 10-year agreement with NetJets for the maintenance of the fractional-ownership operator’s fleet of Hawker 1000s, Hawker 800XPs and Hawker 400XPs. The contract includes options beyond the initial 10 years. Hawker 1000 and 800XP heavy maintenance will be performed at the Hawker Service Center in Little Rock, Ark. Maintenance for the Hawker 400XP will be done at Raytheon Aircraft Services in Tampa, Fla..
Dubai airport-based Elite Jets is marking its first anniversary here at the Dubai airshow by exhibiting alongside Raytheon Aircraft (Stand E501). Recent news from the private charter operator includes the delivery of a second owned Hawker 1000 business jet, an agreement with a tour operator and a block-booking contract with independent aircraft charter broker International Air Charter (IAC).
