While Embraer will continue to do the interior installations on the Lineage 1000 bizliner at its São Jose dos Campos facilities, Austrian interior components supplier List Components & Furniture will provide high-end cabinetry for the cabin.

The Lineage 1000 is an executive variant of the Embraer E190 airliner and can accommodate up to 19 passengers in a five-zone cabin of modular design. The interior, designed by Priestman Goode of London, offers “hundreds of layout combinations [and] differentiated modules and cabinets,” according to Embraer.

In the world of executive cabin outfitting, there are a number of independent cabinetry shop suppliers turning out high-quality, and in some cases spectacular, woodwork. Odyssey Aerospace of Denton, Texas, recently provided bulkhead panels, cabinetry and trim for an executive MD-87 interior designed by Strack & Associates and refurbished by Jet Works Air Center in Denton.

Nordam (Booth No. 1539) recently delivered the first shipset of cabinets for Dassault Aviation’s Falcon 7X, less than a year after being selected to produce all cabinetry for the large cabin trijet back in April 2008. A three-stage delivery of the first shipset began on March 9 from the company’s cabinetry division in Wichita, Kansas.

Precision Pattern, a Wichita-based specialist in aircraft interior cabinetry and finish, has signed an agreement with Appearance Group to provide after-market support in terms of touch-up, repair and mechanical adjustments for cabin cabinetry. As part of the agreement, Appearance Group will receive training and instruction from Precision Pattern.

DeCrane Aircraft Holding’s Cabin Management Group continues to grow and, in particular, to expand its furniture and cabinetry capabilities. In the past year, its subsidiary specialists–Carl F. Booth, Custom Woodwork and Plastics, DeCrane Cabin Interiors, Infinity Partners, Newco and Precision Pattern–have contributed furniture and cabinetry components for one VIP-configured 777, two BBJs and one BBJ2.

Precision Pattern of Wichita, a subsidiary of DeCrane Aircraft’s Cabin Management Group, has been selected by Cessna Aircraft to provide cabinetry for the Citation Sovereign and the recently announced Citation CJ3. PPI (Booth No. 1133) provided the cabinetry for both the Sovereign and CJ3 mockups at NBAA (Booth No. 5277), including galleys, closets, entertainment cabinets, storage cabinets, tables, arm ledges, bulkheads and vanity assemblies.

The Nordam Group and Bomhoff, two leading suppliers of business aircraft interior components, have agreed to form a new business entity, Bomhoff Nordam LLC. The new company will be “co-owned by Nordam and Bomhoff” and will focus on providing cabinetry and integrated interior components.

Dassault Falcon Jet has selected Precision Pattern Interiors to supply completed cabin cabinetry for the Falcon 2000EX “over the next three years, with the potential for future expansion.” The Wichita-based cabinetry specialist, a DeCrane Aerospace company, will manufacturer ready-to-install, wood veneer cabinets, with deliveries to start in early spring.
