More than two years after Tac Air filed a Part 16 complaint over the construction and operation of an airport-owned FBO at Tennessee’s Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport/Lovell Field, the agency has issued its ruling, finding the airport authority was not in violation of its federal grant obligations.

Hawker Beechcraft King Air C90, Chattanooga, Tenn., Sept. 20, 2007–No one was killed when the King Air, on final for Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, lost power and crashed into a utility pole in a shopping center parking lot a half mile from the runway. The airplane was destroyed.

Start-up completion and refurbishment center Air Corporate Services will officially open its doors for business next spring and is already soliciting work. According to business manager Tina Dotson, the company has begun construction of a 114,000-sq-ft facility at Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport (Lovell Field).
