The EADS board of directors has chosen Tom Enders to assume the role of CEO when Louis Gallois steps down at the end of his mandate on May 31. Now the CEO of Airbus, Enders will take over EADS for a new five-year term under the company’s bylaws.

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) has reorganized its management team following departure last month of CEO Eric Mandemaker. The Brussels-based organization announced on April 2 that he had left the organization “with immediate effect by mutual consent.”

The Brussels-based organization said that he had left the organization “with immediate effect by mutual consent.” EBAA will not directly replace Mandemaker, who took the post in October 2007, and president Brian Humphries will jointly hold the role of CEO.
Michael Denham, Bombardier senior v-p of strategy, and 60 other corporate officers are being fired from the Montreal-based transportation company. The move is part of a major organizational change in the wake of CEO Paul Tellier’s dismissal and the creation of the Office of the President, which “regroups strategic and executive management responsibilities around the chairman” and new CEO Laurent Beaudoin.
Outsiders have been brought in to lead a recovery at MD Helicopters. The appointments follow the recent acquisition of the Mesa, Ariz., company by New York financial firm Patriarch Partners. Robert Rene, previously CEO of Hilton Hotels division InnMedia, was named MD Helicopters’ CEO. Randy Kesterson, formerly executive v-p and COO of Curtiss-Wright Controls, was appointed COO.
Under the direction of a new parent company, private investment firm Patriarch Partners, MD Helicopters has made more changes to its senior executive team. The company has named Peter Hokanson chief financial officer and acting CEO as the search for a permanent chief executive continues. Hokanson most recently served as vice president of business administration and information technology at Garrett Aviation.
