Universal Weather and Aviation’s new Safety Management & Integration (SM&I) program makes it easier for clients to manage a safety management system (SMS). The SM&I program is designed for any size of part 91 or 135 operator and includes a software component called SMS Manager. Demonstrations of SM&I are available at the Universal Weather and Aviation booth (No. 2516).
The current Standard Industry Fare Level (SIFL) rates in effect through June 30 are: 0 to 500 sm–$0.2031; 501 to 1,500 sm–$0.1548; and more than 1,500 sm–$0.1489. The SIFL terminal charge is $37.12. SIFL fees are used to satisfy IRS requirements for operators to compute the value of non-business transportation aboard employer-supplied aircraft.
Moscow-based Tekhnoavia, an aircraft design house, delivered two piston SM-2000s in December and one turboprop SM-2000T last month. The trio of aircraft went to a Russian customer.
