Singapore-based training company Mil-Com Aerospace and Chennai, India-headquartered Ramco Systems, part of the $1 billion U.S. Ramco Group, a leading software company focused on products and managed services, have entered into a partnership to complement their offerings. Mil-Com focuses on proving technical training on diverse modules in the aviation sector using Ramco’s Aviation Suite to address business “pain” points to its member base.
Ramco Systems, an enterprise software company focused on delivering enterprise resource planning, human capital management and aviation MRO software on cloud, tablets and smartphones, reports it is experiencing “good traction” in Europe.
Commenting on the company’s success in the region, CEO Virender Aggarwal said, “We have witnessed good traction for our cloud offerings in the European sub-continent with no license fee, maintenance cost or additional infrastructure to procure. The cloud model has seen a quick uptake from this segment, globally.”
Aviation “knowledge management solutions” firm Web Manuals signed European charter operator GlobeAir as the latest customer for its cloud-based compliance application, Web Manuals 4 Draken. The Web Manuals application enables the authoring, publishing, distribution and control of the entire manuals library in an easy-to-use tool, saving time and manpower while improving quality. Web Manuals 4 Draken also automatically highlights any updates to the EASA regulations for easier compliance.
Aircell’s new nationwide wireless content delivery network, Gogo Cloud, allows customers of Aircell’s Gogo Vision to automatically receive the latest updates whenever they visit a Gogo Cloud location. When an aircraft arrives at a Gogo Cloud location, Aircell’s UCS 5000 system automatically connects to the Gogo Cloud Wi-Fi signal and performs a complete content update. The transfer takes place in typically less than 60 seconds for a 30-minute TV episode, and about three minutes for a feature-length movie.
Baldwin Aviation said on October 15 that the newest version of its proprietary Savvy software for developers of safety management systems (SMS) is now fully operational. Savvy second generation allows users to create more customized documentation than version one. Don Baldwin, president and CEO, said, “The changes…allowed us to expand what we can include, such as service issue tracking, and offer greater cloud integration for increased security, performance and scalability at no added cost to the client.”
Cessna has initiated a program designed to reduce the lead time required for interior refurbishment of classic Citations. Under the RightNow Interiors program, Cessna’s Citation service centers will stock pre-selected, certified interior design materials, eliminating the typical eight- to 12-week lead time necessary to order and receive materials for interior refurbishments.
