Pennsylvania Facility Boosts Interiors Service

SureFlight, a Coatesville, Pa.-based aircraft services center, has expanded its interiors capabilities with the opening of a new refurbishment facility in February, followed by the opening of a new upholstery shop.

“Our interior completion shop is outfitted with the finest equipment available, from German-made Duerkopp-Adler sewing machines to digital skiving machines for leather goods,” said Andy Waynick, the company’s new manager of interior completions.
Sikorsky introduces new EMS interior for S-76

Sikorsky has introduced a new interior for emergency medical services (EMS) on the S-76 medium twin. The new interior incorporates a so-called “articulating patient loading system” that reduces the workload for the team carrying a patient on a stretcher. In addition, the system prevents patient back strain. The new litter base opens the cabin floor for more storage and allows multiple litter positioning.

Sikorsky Aircraft of Stratford, Conn., today announced an agreement to acquire Keystone Ranger Holdings, the privately owned parent of West Chester, Pa.-based Keystone Helicopter, an engineering, completion and technical support facility for the Sikorsky S-76 and other civil helicopters and aeromedical flight operations.

Associated Aircraft Group (AAG) and Keystone Helicopter Corp. have joined forces to create an East Coast charter operation. Both companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., which recently acquired Keystone. Under the joint effort, AAG will operate executive-configured Sikorsky S-76 charter flights from Keystone’s Coatesville, Pa.

Keystone Helicopter is seeking an FAA production certificate to manufacture the S-76 and S-92 at its Coatesville, Pa. facility. Keystone is building a new facility known as the Heliplex at Coatesville. When complete it will cover 173,000 sq ft.
