“Ken Emerick, chairman of NBAA board of directors, caught me at the airport, on my way to Saudi Arabia to meet with King Abdullah, to tell me I had been selected to receive the NBAA Award for Meritorious Service to Aviation,” Gulfstream president emeritus Bryan Moss told NBAA Convention News. “The award was a complete and total surprise,” said Moss, who was named president emeritus in April.

John Hall is the new president of Indianapolis-based Premier Jet Aviation. He was previously senior v-p of sales and marketing for CitationShares and was a founding member of the Cessna CitationJet division.

Eric Bachelet was named president and CEO of CFM International, the joint Snecma and General Electric company. Bachelet joined Snecma in 1971 and has held various positions with the Safran Group.

Eclipse Aviation won the National Aeronautic Association’s 2005 Robert J. Collier Trophy for achievement in aeronautics. The 95-year-old trophy, one of aviation’s most prestigious awards, will be presented to the company “for leadership, innovation and the advancement of general aviation” in the production of very light jets, specifically, the Eclipse 500.
