Construction of Wing Aviation, which started last September at Montgomery County Airport in Conroe, Texas, is now slated to finish in the fall instead of this month, as originally scheduled. The new facility will include a 40,000-sq-ft maintenance hangar and a 14,000-sq-ft paint hangar. Wing’s new 12,000-sq-ft terminal building will house crew and passenger lounges, a conference room, flight-planning room, showers, gym and other amenities.
It may not be the closest FBO to next year’s Super Bowl in Houston, but it might be the most fun. Wing Aviation at Lone Star Executive Airport (CXO) in Conroe, Texas, is planning a bash that should rival the action on the field at the Houston Astrodome, some 45 miles away.
Construction of Wing Aviation has begun at Montgomery County Airport in Conroe, Texas. The new facility, scheduled to be in operation by next April, will include a 54,000-sq-ft hangar for airframe and avionics maintenance, custom refurbishing and detailing. Wing intends to specialize in Gulfstream maintenance. In addition, the company will provide complete line services, according to president John Wing.
