Pogo Jet this week filed an amendment to its S-1 registration statement for an initial public offering of stock to finance the company’s entry into the very light jet air-taxi market. The filing indicates that Pogo expects to sell seven million shares of common stock at $12.50 to $16.50 per share, which would raise $87.5 to $115.5 million.

The federal court judge presiding over VisionAire’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy and reorganization apparently found sufficient merit in one or both investment offers the company presented in court on January 9, one a memorandum of agreement and the other a letter of intent, that he granted a continuance until January 21.

Sentient, a leading provider of business aircraft transportation through membership block charter, was purchased last month from CSFB Private Equity by TH Lee Putnam Ventures, a New York-based private equity firm. Sentient claims more than 1,400 aircraft available from among its approved charter aircraft providers. Participants in its Private Jet Membership purchase TravelCards valued at $100,000, $250,000 and $500,000, respectively.

The Canadian Aviation Maintenance Council (CAMC) Board of Directors has announced a change in the organization’s leadership team. Steve Dick will no longer be CAMC’s CEO. A new CEO is expected to be forthcoming. Until then, Les Aalders will serve as acting executive director to oversee the daily operations of the secretariat.
