Bombardier Aerospace’s Dubai parts depot has moved to a new facility to enhance its aftermarket support for operators flying to Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It allows greater inventory capacity and, as part of a continuing priority to improve competitiveness, and Bombardier says it has reduced prices on many rotable exchanges and a large number of proprietary and non-proprietary new parts.

Chicago-based JSSI (Stand 455), an independent provider of hourly cost maintenance programs for aircraft engines, airframes and APUs, convened its second European customer advisory board here in Geneva this week and came away with better knowledge of what it can do to help them contain their costs.

The FAA’s final rule on ADS-B equipage, published last week, appears to offer little change from the agency’s October 2007 notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that was met by almost total industry opposition. The primary concern continues to be the questionable benefits to operators of ADS-B Out equipment compared with its purchase, installation and certification costs.
