Accelerating the growth potential for business aviation in Central and Eastern Europe will top the agenda for the second annual Cepa Expo, which will be held November 28 to 30 in Czech Republic capital city Prague. According to Dagmar Grossmann, founder of the Central European Private Aviation Association (Cepa), market conditions are generally stronger in that part of the continent than they are in Western Europe.

Private jet booking service PrivateFly.com has launched in France, Germany and central Europe, offering dedicated local web platforms, multilingual operations teams and a regional sales effort covering Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The move follows what the company called (but without specifying any detail) a “record-breaking sales month in May.” PrivateFly relaunched its UK website in April, along with a dedicated iPad app that enhanced its existing mobile applications.

The Central Europe Private Aviation Association (CEPA) will hold its second annual conference in the Czech capital Prague on December 1 and 2. The CEPA Expo event, which includes an exhibit area, will feature an agenda focusing on how business aviation is developing in what is currently Europe’s most vibrant market.

Cepa Expo will be held at Prague Vodochody Airport in the Czech Republic from September 29 to October 1 next year. Cepa expects the new show to draw at least 120 exhibitors and generate revenues of almost $1.4 million.

The first Cepa Expo will be held in the Czech Republic at Prague’s Vodochody Airport from Sept. 29 to Oct. 1, 2011. The first two days of the event will be for trade visitors only, followed by a public day on Saturday, October 1.

The new Central Europe Private Aviation Association (Cepa) will hold its inaugural conference in the Czech capital Prague on April 22 and 23. The group has been formed to represent and coordinate the interests of business aviation companies in new European Union states. At the conference, the association plans to make an announcement about what it describes as a major new project to bring together Europe’s business aviation industry.

In mid-December Evektor ran the EV-55 Outback’s Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-21 engines for the first time. During the test run at Kunovice Airport in the Czech Republic, “engines and propellers performed properly,” the company reported.
