Bombardier plans to break ground this month for a 100,000-sq-foot addition to its service center at Love Field in Dallas to accommodate the OEM’s Challenger and Global business jet lines. The new facilities are scheduled to open next fall.

Dallas Airmotive is opening a new 22,600-sq-ft warehouse at its Forest Park turbine engine repair and overhaul facility in Dallas.
James Donlan, former president and CEO of Dallas Airmotive, died July 23 from an apparent heart attack. He was 49. On July 21, former Dallas Airmotive manager of marketing communications Patrick DeBlanc passed away at age 60.
Look for Arinc’s SkyLink high-speed-data satcom service to start showing up in a wider range of airplane types now that an exclusive agreement with Gulfstream is expiring. The company is said to be close to finalizing deals in the works with a number of OEMs and independent service centers, with the first three announced last month.
