Leading Edge Composites (Booth 937) is experiencing significant growth, doubling its work force and tripling its plant space over the last year. The Coatesville, Pa.-based company recently moved into a new 44,000-sq-ft facility and now has more than 60 employees. It was founded 23 years ago by Brian and Charlene Arni. Brian, a former shop supervisor of Keystone Helicopter, also has a background in fixed-wing aircraft composite structures.
Londonderry, N.H.-based Pro Star Aviation has been awarded an FAA STC for the installation of a universal antenna mount (UAM) and lower-fuselage radome on the Beechcraft King Air B300 and B300C. The STC allows five operational configurations of mechanical provisions, UAMs, UAM fairings and lower-fuselage radomes. It also allows mounting up to 50 pounds of equipment to the UAM itself. The STC also provides for the optional use of lightning diverter strips on the lower-fuselage radome.
With J-10A production in full stride, Chengdu is working on integrating new technology, which may lead to an improved production aircraft. A prototype has been seen and photographed with several important new features. Most obvious are new radome and intake structures.

Satellite TV for less than $100,000? That’s the deal being offered by in-flight entertainment specialist Flight Display Systems (FDS), an Alpharetta, Ga.-based cabin electronics manufacturer, which last month unveiled an all-new satellite TV system for business airplanes called Ellipse Direct.
Saint-Gobain Flight Structures is supplying all the nose radomes for the Embraer Phenom 100 and 300, the company announced at a press conference here on Monday. It has supplied radomes for Embraer aircraft for 30 years.
Adam Aircraft also has chosen Saint-Gobain’s radomes for the Adam A700 jet. A radome has been installed in the test aircraft and will be on production models.
