DC Aviation-Al Futtaim (DCAF), a joint venture between Germany’s DC Aviation and the Dubai-based Al-Futtaim group, recently opened the first FBO at Dubai World Central Aviation City. The venture will capitalize on Al-Fattaim’s Middle East presence and DC Aviation’s reputation as a private aviation services provider.

Livewel Aviation Services has signed the first lease for space at the newly launched Dubai World Central Aviation City on Al Maktoum International Airport, slated to become operational by the end of next year.
UAE-based Gulf Aerospace Company (Gaco) signed a MoU yesterday with Dubai World Central (DWC) to build a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in DWC’s Aviation City. Gaco is investing $50 million and leasing 260,000 square feet of land. It will thus form part of what Aviation City CEO Abdulla Al Qurashi has pledged to become the world’s largest MRO center.
