The FAA has given the green light to AAR for its new aircraft maintenance facility in Duluth, Minn. The addition of the Duluth facility increases AAR’s worldwide aircraft maintenance capacity by approximately 10 percent. Duluth joins AAR facilities in Indianapolis; Oklahoma City; Miami; and Hot Springs, Ark., as part of the company’s nationwide “1MRO” network.

Norwood (Mass.) Memorial Airport has scheduled periodic runway closures over the next three weeks to accommodate construction projects. Runway 10/28 will remain closed completely until September 28. Meanwhile, Runway 17/35 will be closed from 0700 to 1700 (local time) on the following days: September 12, 14, 19, 20, 21 and 25. Both runways are 4,000 feet long. Monaco Air Duluth, the sole full-service FBO at Duluth International Airport, celebrated its one-year anniversary on November 2. “Customers have been pleased with our facilities and service, and our business is growing accordingly,” said FBO owner Don Monaco. Services include fuel and ground services for general aviation, airline and commercial traffic as well as hangar storage and maintenance.
