Helicopter interiors specialist Texas Aviation Services has delivered a “Ferrari styled” Eurocopter EC 130 to Mike Herzog of Portland, Ore. The automotive entrepreneur collects Ferraris as part of his large car dealership in Portland and wanted his new helicopter to match the Pininfarina design of one of his favorite Ferraris.

On the aircraft static display line at the NBAA Convention in September was Aero Toy Store’s Pininfarina Edition Learjet 60. Modern customers, said COO Ben Shirazi, want the “sexiness” associated with having an automobile or airplane interior designed by such auto and fashion icons as Pininfarina or Versace.

The UK’s Kent Air Ambulance Trust is celebrating what it describes as “an amazing turnaround” in its fortunes. A year ago the charity that supports the resident MD 902 and crew was projecting a deficit of $620,000 (£350,000), on the back of three difficult years that had already seen reserves depleted by almost $1.77 million (£1 million).

EUROFLY ACQUIRES ITS FIRST ACJ, PLANS A SECOND
Eurofly, Italy’s largest business aviation operator, has signed a contract for its first Airbus Corporate Jetliner and plans to acquire a second, with delivery earmarked for next spring. Powered by two 27,000-pound-thrust CFM56-5B7 turbofans, Eurofly’s ACJ will be outfitted to accommodate 48 passengers in four-abreast seating. Typical trips will be between Rome or Milan and New York.
