Embraer won an order for 11 more 118-seat E195s from Brazilian airline Azul in late October, not long after New York-based JetBlue canceled an order for 12 E190s. The contract with Azul, owned by JetBlue co-founder David Neeleman, calls for deliveries to start early in 2013. Embraer places the value of the contract at $497 million.

The CS300 is part of Bombardier's C Series family

The Dubai Air Show last week brought a welcome breakthrough for Bombardier’s efforts to build a sound base of sales for its new C Series airliner. Turkey’s Atlasjet signed a letter of intent (LOI) for 15 of the CS300 version. According to Chet Fuller, Bombardier sales vice president, the agreement could be firmed up by year-end.

Delta Air Lines’ maintenance division, Delta TechOps, has signed a five-year exclusive agreement with Air Canada to provide repair and overhaul services to the airline’s entire fleet of Pratt & Whitney PW4060 engines. The flat-rate agreement for time and materials covers Air Canada’s 18 PW4060s and four spares, three of which are already located at Delta TechOps.

Steven Udvar Hazy’s Air Lease has delivered its first new Embraer aircraft from the direct order placed at the 2010 Farnborough Air Show, the company announced last month. The delivery involved the first of six E190s scheduled to go to Brazil’s Trip Airlines.
