The Jet Support division of St. Louis-based aircraft parts and services provider Avmats has established a composite shop under the direction of vice president Bill Kener to support the company’s new emphasis on one-off parts manufacture and repair.
Aftermarket parts distributor Globalparts.aero (Booth No. 3215) of Augusta, Kan. announced a corporate rebranding that emphasizes major enhancements to its business, including the establishment of an FAA Part 145 repair station and a new build-to-print parts manufacturing center equipped with computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines.
Summa Technology, a provider of high-end sub-systems and precision machining, fabrication, welding and engineering services, has been acquired by AAR. The acquisition extends AAR’s portfolio of manufactured products and engineering services.
Savannah Air Center in Savannah, Ga., recently broke ground for a new structure that will house its expanded interior fabrication shop. The 19,000-sq-ft facility–to include upholstery, interior fabrication, carpet layout, engineering and supporting offices–is scheduled for completion by September.
