Sheltair Aviation Services (Booth No. 4600) has completed the renovation of its flagship facility at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. In addition to cosmetic improvements such as new interior furnishings and a redesigned customer-service station, the $1.2 million renovation enlarges the business center and flight-planning area. The Quick Turn café, also added as part of the enovation, is expected to open soon.
Construction of Banyan Air Service’s new 25,000-sq-ft FBO terminal building at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport is nearing completion and a November 10 opening is anticipated. A 20,000-sq-ft hangar is attached.
The tropical setting of the South Florida FBO includes plantation-style paddle fans, a 600-gallon saltwater aquarium, 30-foot palm trees and a waterfall cascading from the second story.
Management at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, Fla., has submitted a proposed noise compatibility program (under FAR Part 150 guidelines) to the FAA, which is scheduled to approve or reject it no later than January 16.
