Landmark Aviation remains in growth mode, buying the Corporate Jets FBO, maintenance and charter company at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona from FSS Airholdings early last month. “Corporate Jets is really a perfect fit for our acquisition profile,” said Landmark CEO Roger Wolfe.
FBO owners of three or fewer facilities are being invited to join a new organization, the Independent Fixed Base Operators Association (IFBOA).
ExecuJet Europe this month is opening what it describes as the first dedicated executive aircraft FBO at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport. The round-the-clock FBO will phase in services over the next six months. When completed at the end of this year, it will offer fueling, on-site customs and immigration clearance, a pilot lounge and a flight-planning suite, as well as catering and concierge services.
Landmark Aviation completed a $300,000 upgrade of its Dulles International Airport FBO interior in June, marking another in the FBO chain’s series of new flagship operations. Included in the upgrade is a quieter interior, easier viewing of the ramp from inside the FBO, additional plush seating in the main lounge and a new hearth fireplace. The pilots’ lounge was moved to the rear of the facility and the weather room to the front.
