Ground support equipment supplier Aero Specialties is here at EBACE (Booth No. 1235) as an official distributor of Unitron ground power units. Unitron, based in Dallas, Texas, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and for the first time is unveiling a line of GPUs that are approved to European Union standards.

A casual glance at the item exhibited by Tesla Industries (Stand No. 723) could lead to the conclusion that it is a single-product company. That may be true in the broadest sense because its product catalog mostly lists ground power units that are similar in appearance, but all are notable for being one-man portable.

Lufthansa Technik has completed the first installation of an unconventional moving-map system on an Air Berlin Boeing 737 and expects to carry out the first installation on a VIP aircraft, a Europe-based Boeing Business Jet, early next year.
