Meridian, the last independent aviation services provider at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport, announced that it will enhance its West Coast operations with the basing one of its charter aircraft at Hayward Executive Airport in California. The company’s air charter division operates 21 managed aircraft across the country, and next month will reposition a nine-passenger WiFi-equipped Cessna Citation XLS to the San Francisco-area airport.
Meridian Air Charter, based in Teterboro, N.J., is expanding its operations to the West Coast as part of a long-term plan to serve existing clients better, while developing its charter and aircraft management services in the San Francisco area. The two-phase expansion involves opening California sales offices in San Jose and at Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa. APP Jet Center has acquired the former Atlantic Aviation FBO at Hayward Executive Airport (HWD) in Hayward, Calif., and combined it with its existing facility (formerly owned by Volo Aviation), rendering it the sole services provider at the San Francisco-area airport. HWD sees more than 200 operations a day, and has a population of approximately 350 aircraft, 15 of them 15 jets.
