Iacobucci HF, the Italian maker of galley appliance inserts, is continuing its venture into the aircraft seating business with the introduction at NBAA of a new business unit–Iacobucci Seat Division–to manage that endeavor.

Piper Aircraft has selected ­Millennium Concepts to provide the passenger and crew seats for its new PiperJet Altaire. According to Kevin ­Reifschneider, Millennium’s president and managing director, the seats have been tested by the National Institute for Aviation Research and proven to withstand loads of up to 30gs while maintaining ­compliance with FAA requirements.

B/E Aerospace has begun deliveries of its new UltimateComfort executive seat with adjustments ranging from “comfortable” to “bliss.” The Miami-based company’s business jet group introduced the seat at the NBAA Convention and claims it is the first full-flat berthing accommodation for business aircraft.

Sikorsky has taken delivery of a new, ergonomically improved crew seat for the S-92. Supplied by British manufacturer Martin-Baker, best known for fast-jet ejection seats, the new reclining seat features a headrest, adjustable armrests, thigh support and improved seat padding and meets all current FAA safety and crashworthiness requirements.
