SheltAir Aviation Services has reached the 20-year mark and now consists of 11 FBOs–five in New York and six in Florida. SheltAir’s FBO business is part of Holland SheltAir Aviation Group, an enterprise that includes construction company Holland Builders and SheltAir Aviation Facilities, which owns and develops airport hangars and office space. The FBO network began in 1988 with facilities at Daytona Beach and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

For the past month, business aircraft operators flying into New York La Guardia Airport (LGA) may have been surprised to see a fresh new name going on the fuel trucks and above the counter at the field’s sole FBO.
SheltAir Aviation Services expanded its Florida FBO stable to seven and total count to eight with the acquisition of Sowell Aviation Services at Panama City-Bay County International Airport. The purchase includes 40,000 sq ft of FBO terminal, office and hangar space.
