Honeywell HTF7000

The first Gulfstream G250 super midsize business jet had its Honeywell HTF7250G engines mounted on June 1 at Israel Aerospace Industries’ factory near Tel Aviv. The wing was mated to the fuselage on May 12, after the first power-on test had taken place on May 5. The aircraft’s first flight is loosely pegged for “later this year,” while certification is scheduled for 2011.

Gulfstream Aerospace this morning unveiled the G250 to succeed the G200 (née Galaxy), which was the first super-midsize business jet to enter service–back in January 2000. This marks the second new aircraft launch this year for the Savannah, Ga.-based manufacturer, following the official go-ahead for the ultra-large-cabin G650 in March.

Bombardier Aerospace has received key approvals from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the FAA to provide complete training, service and maintenance for the Bombardier Challenger 300. Both the EASA and the FAA have awarded full Part 145 approval to Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS), located at Berlin-Schoenefeld Airport.
