UK-based provider of engine condition monitoring services Jet-Care has introduced three new engine trend programs as part of its gas path analysis (GPA) engine portfolio.
In regards to revenue and growth in the business aviation industry, “Flat is the new up,” Honeywell Business and General Aviation president Rob Wilson said during a roundtable discussion here on Sunday evening. He explained that, while Honeywell expects annual business jet deliveries to rise from about 700 this year to more than 1,000 in 2022, much of this growth won’t materialize until after 2015, meaning market growth in 2013 and 2014 is likely to be “flattish.”
Honeywell is targeting the third quarter of next year for the certification of the HTF7500E turbofan. This is a revised schedule that fits with Embraer’s delay in developing the midlight Legacy 450 and midsize Legacy 500 business jets.
National Flight Services has begun expansion of its San Antonio, Texas facilities at New Braunfels Regional Airport. Groundbreaking for an added 20,000 sq ft took place October 5, and construction is expected to be completed by May 2013.

Honeywell has been asked to quote for the supply of 270 F125IN turbofan engines to replace the twin Rolls-Royce Adour Mk 821s on India’s 125-strong fleet of Jaguar strike aircraft. The F125IN is 600 pounds lighter than the Adour and is expected to enable 25-percent-shorter hot-and-high takeoffs. India’s Jaguars have become overweight and underpowered as a result of avionics and systems upgrades.
General Electric and Rolls-Royce tie for first place among turbofan manufacturers, each scoring an overall average of 8.0 for the quality of product support they provide their customers. Compared with last year, that score represented an improvement of 5 percent for GE and 1 percent for R-R.
