The Dallas-area chapter of the American Red Cross recognized Dallas Airmotive for its employee and corporate support by presenting its 2007 Humanitarian Award to the company. Dallas Airmotive president and CEO Hugh McElroy accepted the honor on behalf of the company during the chapter’s annual recognition ceremony.
Starting this month, retro crown doors will be available for the King Air 200/B200/300/B300. According to a spokesman for Raisbeck Engineering, the doors are designed to be compatible with the company’s nacelle wing lockers for the King Air 200 and 300. The initial price for the retro crown door kit is $9,250 not including installation.

Stephen Pope (right), AIN’s avionics editor and editor of our domestic show editions, won big at this year’s Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards, presented during the Paris Air Show last month. Pope won the Rockwell Collins Award for the best avionics submission with his article on synthetic vision in the June 2006 issue of AIN. He also came away with the Gulfstream Award for Aerospace Journalist of the Year.
Jennifer Harrington has joined AIN as a staff editor. Jennifer is a private pilot, and she put in five years as a newspaper reporter before serving as an aviation weather forecaster for the U.S. Navy.

French aerospace equipment maker Zodiac is selling its marine business to boost its aerospace activity. This process may see it taking over one of the three European factories for which Airbus is seeking partnership arrangements under its Power8 reorganization plan. With the same goal in mind, Zodiac has strengthened the family-owned group’s senior management team.
