Helicopter leasing company Milestone Aviation Group signaled its intention to offer stock to the public–an initial public offering (IPO)–yesterday in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. No date for the IPO has been set, nor has any valuation been placed on shares to be offered. Milestone was founded by former NetJets CEO and founder Richard Santulli in 2010 with an initial capitalization of $500 million. The company’s current fleet is valued at $2.2 billion and it has more than 145 helicopters on order worth $3.4 billion.

The manufacturer and operator of the S-64 Air-Crane raised $31.9 million from its long-awaited April initial public stock offering (IPO) on the Nasdaq exchange and narrowed its latest quarterly operating loss to $1.7 million. Erickson said its backlog is $207.9 million, and it expects to make deliveries representing $84 million of that total this year.

Insurance giant AIG appeared closer to proceeding with plans to wind down its exposure to the aircraft leasing business when on September 2 its ILFC unit filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering.

Russian Helicopters postponed its offering of “ordinary shares and global depositary receipts” last month. Board member Andrei Reus said he believed “market participants will benefit from more time to reflect upon the true value and growth potential of the business.” When announced in April, the total size of the IPO was expected to exceed $500 million.

The filing indicates that Pogo expects to sell seven million shares of common stock at $12.50 to $16.50 per share, which would raise $87.5 to $115.5 million.

In a December 13 amendment to Pogo Jet’s S-1 registration statement for its initial public stock offering, the company provided more information about its planned very light jet (VLJ) charter service. As it has said before, Pogo will use Eclipse 500s in a whole-airplane charter service headquartered at Westover Municipal Airport in Chicopee, Mass.
