Innotech Aviation has received a supplemental type certificate for its new Sky Berry system that gives business aircraft operators and their passengers a low-cost way to wirelessly receive and transmit data on their PDAs. Sky Berry uses a router provided by International Communications Group. The first system has already been installed on a Hawker 800.

Beirut-based ImperialJet plans to add airplanes to its charter and management fleet at an impressive rate in the next six months as the three-year old company seeks to grow its Middle East client base. The firm took delivery recently of two new Learjet 60XR models and plans to add two more 60XRs and three Challenger 850s in the coming months.

Under a partnership agreement signed with Air Data, Innotech Aviation’s Montreal completion center will install Air Data JetAir bio-protection systems (BPS) on Bombardier Global Expresses. The JetAir BPS uses “cold plasma ionic interaction” technology, which catches and inactivates air contaminants and reduces “harmful and annoying gases against which traditional filters have no effect,” according to Innotech.

Air Data’s JetAir bio-protection air purification system has received Transport Canada manufacturing approval. The Montreal-based company expects supplemental type certification early this summer for Bombardier’s Global Express XRS and Global 5000. U.S. independent completion and refurbishment specialist Midcoast is offering the system as an option to operators of both Global variants.
