As NBAA’s Schedulers & Dispatchers (S&D) Conference gets rolling in San Antonio, Texas, this week, organizers announced that this year’s edition of the annual show had set a record for exhibitors with 425 airports, FBOs, fuel suppliers and others scheduled to display their services at the Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center.

Very light jets continue to generate interest, and to satisfy high levels of VLJ curiosity, MIU Events is holding its second annual Very Light Jets–Latin America & the Caribbean conference in Miami on November 10 and 11. With a keynote address by Joe Leader, president of the Air Taxi Association, VLJ-LAC-08 includes speakers from VLJ manufacturers, operators, insurers and others.
Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for the Transportation Security Administration David Stone and Washington journalist Fred Barnes will be the featured opening general session keynote speakers for the NBAA Convention, October 12 to 14 in Las Vegas. Stone had served as acting administrator of the TSA since December 4 last year and had been deputy chief of staff at TSA since August last year.
NBAA president and CEO Ed Bolen will be a keynote speaker at the third annual Latin American Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (LABACE) in São Paulo, Brazil. Along with Anderson Markiewicz, chairman of the Brazilian business aviation association ABAG, Bolen will address the opening general session on the morning of March 31.
