Canadian fractional aircraft provider AirSprint last month placed an order for 23 business aircraft worth an estimated $116 million. The order includes three Cessna Citation XLS/XLS+s and three “Next Generation” Pilatus PC-12s to be delivered over the next 24 months, bringing AirSprint’s managed fleet to 27, ten of which will be Citation XL/XLS/XLS+s.
Kitchener Aero has delivered its first Eurocopter EC 120 with upgraded avionics and special-mission modifications. The factory-new helicopter was flown directly to Kitchener, Ontario. Most visible now are the two Sagem ICDS-8 EFIS flight displays. Another feature is a downward-facing camera, images from which can be shown on the multifunction display. The modification project began in June and concluded in August.
Avionics component supplier OuterLink has announced the appointment of Kitchener Aero, at Waterloo Regional Airport in Breslau, Ontario, as an authorized OuterLink repair center. Kitchener, a repair center for many major avionics manufacturers, will allow OuterLink customers to avoid complicated cross-border issues.
