Williams International appointed Constant Aviation’s Las Vegas facility as an FJ44-3AP authorized service center. It allows Constant Aviation to offer Nextant 400XT operators in-house engine maintenance, on-site parts and warranty claim processing. Similar approvals for the company’s Cleveland and Birmingham, Ala. facilities are pending. A Nextant 400XT authorized service center since late 2011, the MRO has completed more than 15 scheduled inspections.

This year’s NBAA Convention–to be held October 10 to 12 in Las Vegas–will have not one but two static display areas, marking a first in the 64-year history of this event. Operators planning flights to Las Vegas McCarran International Airport (LAS) might want to make alternative arrangements beginning November 1, when Runway 25L/07R closes until May 1. During that time, there will be traffic management initiatives such as mile-in-trail, ground stops and ground delays, according to NBAA.

Las Vegas Tracon Letter to Airmen No. 03-01 alerts operators to “significant changes” to Runway 25 Rnav Stars and departure procedures (DPs) for McCarran International Airport. Effective January 23, the andy waypoint was eliminated and Runway 25 departures are “expected to commence left turns at eyene or lodzy.” There are no major changes for Runways 1, 7 or 19 Rnav departures, according to the letter.
