The underutilized Livermore Airport near California’s San Francisco Bay Area might yet see development of a new FBO. In mid-July, the Livermore city council passed a resolution allowing transfer of the FBO lease from flight training school Sierra Academy to Seaward Holdings, which plans to base two charter Citations at the airport.
Livermore Municipal Airport
Livermore Municipal Airport is one of those facilities where the city that owns the airport keeps the FBO operation to itself. For a potentially important airport such as Livermore, a designated reliever for San Francisco Bay Area airports and located at the edge of some of the busiest airspace in California, this facility is surprisingly undeveloped.
