Lord Corp. (Chalet A33) is here at the Farnborough show as it starts a major expansion push into Europe. At a pre-show briefing at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London the company unveiled a new “aerospace business growth strategy for Europe”–the main focus being the booming fixed-wing airliner sector, as Lord is already active in the helicopter industry in Europe, specializing in noise, vibration and motion-control technologies.
Lord Corp., perhaps best known to many as provider of Lord mounts for aircraft engines, is at Booth No. C11836 to showcase its wide range of products and services to improve aircraft reliability, maintainability and passenger comfort by controlling vibration, shock and noise. The company has developed a variety ways to meet the requirements of business aircraft, from traditional elastomeric products to electromechanical systems.
Lord Corp. (Booth No. 563) has come to Heli-Expo on a mission: to announce to the helicopter world that it’s more than just a parts supplier, it’s a systems integrator.
An elastomeric main rotor damper developed by Lord Corp. has gained U.S. Federal Aviation Administration certification for use on the Enstrom 480 light turbine helicopter. The damper has been incorporated into new production models and is available for retrofit into existing helicopters in the field.
