Occasionally AIN’s eye is focused on presenting business aviation news to the exclusion of noting achievements in our own house. That is the case with our Washington editor, Paul Lowe, who was singled out by NBAA at its convention in Atlanta last fall to receive the association’s Gold Wing Award for journalistic excellence.
Paul Lowe, Washington, D.C. editor for Aviation International News, accepted NBAA’s 2007 Gold Wing Award for journalistic excellence from Ed Bolen, NBAA president and CEO, at the association’s annual media breakfast yesterday morning.
Lowe Aviation, a Phillips 66 Aviation Performance Center at Middle Georgia Regional Airport (MCN), Macon, Ga., is the hometown fueler for medium-size international charter operator Aviance. George Moore, owner of Aviance, operates five Learjets. He started in 1988 with one leased aircraft, adding to the fleet as business demanded.
