Based on growing customer demand for interior repair and refurbishment capabilities in the region, Jet Aviation Dubai expected to begin offering cabin work at its maintenance facilities at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates in this year’s second half.

According to the Swiss-based MRO, completion and refurbishment company, the Dubai facility will provide such work as upholstery, carpeting, overhaul, headliner and side panels, chrome and gold plating, cabinetry, sheet-metal work and repair of fiberglass, plastic and composite items.

Air France KLM's maintenance, repair and overhaul operation still sees strong prospects in India despite recent struggles there.

The decline of India’s Kingfisher Airlines, whose fleet has shrunk to 18 aircraft from 66, hasn’t only served to push air fares upward due to declining capacity in a high-demand market. At the same time it has reduced business for suppliers and airline service providers, such as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) groups.

Rizon Jet (Stand 2017), the Doha-based aircraft charter, management and MRO provider, has received EASA Part 145 and Cayman Islands maintenance approvals for its headquarters maintenance facility. The approval allows the company to offer all line and base maintenance and a full range of maintenance and overhaul packages for Challenger 604/605, Hawker 750/800XP/850XP/900XP and Global BD-700 series business jets in Doha.

StandardAero Business Aviation is now offering Pratt & Whitney PW305 service at its Houston facility in support of the Learjet 60 and Hawker 1000. The MRO’s Springfield, Ill. facility was the first site to begin supporting the PW300-series.

Hawker Pacific Shanghai has become the first dedicated business aviation center to receive Part 145 maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). Located at Shanghai’s Hongqiao International Airport, the facility is large enough to accommodate bizliners.
