Continuing its practice of using aviation industry experts to help create focused online instructional programs, global business aviation safety training provider TrainingPort.net (Booth No. C10836) yesterday announced it has reached several agreements to expand its flight department management training offerings.
Maintenance Resource Management
The FAA has approved Century CRM’s NBAA professional development program (PDP) course, “Resource Management for Aviation Leaders,” as an inspection authorization (IA) refresher-training course for maintenance professionals. The agency has officially designated it “Human Factors, Safety Management Systems and Technical Training for Maintenance Professionals.”
The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) announced a new addition to its popular series of professional development workshops offered each year at the organization’s annual maintenance symposium. “Maintenance Resource Management” will focus on reducing the number of accidents and incidents while increasing safety and professionalism.
“Just as maintenance technicians must keep up with constant changes in aircraft systems, current and aspiring managers must stay up-to-date on the skills needed to effectively direct their department and to provide the ultimate in customer service,” said Doug Bowen, director of worldwide maintenance training sales at FlightSafety International.
