National Air Services (NAS) of Saudi Arabia has signed a five-year contract with Lufthansa Technik for total component support (TCS) for up to 40 aircraft. The agreement includes services for several executive jets based on single-aisle airliners. Moreover, both Lufthansa Technik and NAS Group are evaluating opportunities to cooperate in aircraft maintenance.
Maintenance customers of Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) at Berlin-Schönefeld in Germany can earn loyalty points in the company’s new Maintenance Plus program. Three loyalty levels are offered–platinum, gold or silver–each with different incentives that might include special AOG support and customized maintenance contracts, according to LBAS.
Australia’s biggest airline, Qantas Airways, and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider Lufthansa Technik of Hamburg, Germany, have joined forces in a new joint venture: Jet Turbine Services (JTS).

Lufthansa Technik introduced a new premium service at the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE) in May. With the just-launched Platinet Global Support Network, the German MRO and VIP jet services provider is joining selected partners in offering support for large VIP, government and business jets.
