Analogic’s new Cobra checkpoint tomography system was certified last week to meet both European Civil Aviation Conference Type D and D+ Standard 2 performance standards for threat detection. A portion of these standards includes the ability to detect threats accurately even when passengers leave laptop computers and liquids in their carry-on bags.

The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) has partnered with AIC Title Service to offer a program that will help aviation businesses and individuals comply with new FAA requirements to re-register all aircraft. In July, the FAA published a final rule that will require all currently U.S.-registered aircraft to complete an aircraft re-registration according to a specific schedule over the next three years.
