Private-aviation catering provider Air Culinaire has augmented its Florida network with the establishment of another company-owned and -operated kitchen. The location, three miles from Miami International Airport (MIA), is the third in the Sunshine State for the Universal Weather & Aviation subsidiary. The new location will supply aircraft operating at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, Fort Lauderdale Executive, Opa-Locka Executive, Kendall-Tamiami Executive and MIA.

Miami-based Air Platinum Club–which until recently was touting membership options in its Gulfstream IV-SPs, exotic cars, a beachfront condo and a yacht–appears to have folded last month. Its Web site is no longer accessible without a password and a recording at its listed phone number reports that the line has been disconnected.
Last month the Aviation Unit of Miami-Dade Police Department took delivery of the first of four new Eurocopter AS 350B3s. The remaining three helicopters will be delivered at the rate of one annually over the next three years. In Texas, the Department of Public Safety took delivery of its first EC 145.
