Seven adults and seven children aboard a Pilatus PC-12 (N128CM) were killed when the turboprop single crashed at approximately 3 p.m. local time on March 22 while on approach to Bert Mooney Airport in Butte, Mont. The group was reportedly headed from California to Bozeman, Mont., for a skiing trip, but the pilot diverted to Butte for an unspecified reason.

MAIR Holdings announced late last month that its Big Sky Airlines subsidiary will end all its Delta Connection service on the East Coast as of midnight, January 7. The company will then attempt to “transition” its Billings, Mont.-based operation to another airline, distribute any remaining cash to shareholders and completely liquidate sometime next year, said MAIR president Paul Foley.

Raytheon Beech 99, Billings, Mont., May 19, 2007–The nosegear of Beech 99 N950AA, registered to Alpine Aviation of Provo, Utah, collapsed on landing at Billings, causing minor damage. There were no injuries.
