The National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) at Wichita State University is offering a new oil analysis service for all types of piston and turbine engines. NIAR’s new oil analysis lab can perform trivector analysis (wear, contamination, general oil chemistry); infrared spectroscopy (monitors molecular substance in oil); particle count/shape recognition; elemental analysis (checking for elements that correlate to contaminants, wear metals and additives); and viscosity testing.

Business aircraft operators may be battling to control costs, but they aren’t cutting back on the oil and engine debris analysis services provided by Jet-Care (Booth No. N4916). In fact, growing demand for tests has prompted the company to increase the size of its facilities on both sides of the Atlantic.

UK-headquartered Spectro, and Jet-Care, both divisions and trading names of Palace International, Ltd. (Booth No. 1523), have returned to EBACE with their largest ever range of performance monitoring programs, focusing on the Pratt & Whitney Canada series of small turbofans and turboprops. At the same time, Jet-Care is highlighting its condition monitoring service, which it now is offering to helicopter operators.
