This year will be an eventful one in Wichita as local corporate icons Cessna and Hawker Beechcraft mark big anniversaries. For Cessna, it's been 80 years since Clyde Cessna's “all-purpose” airplane made its first flight. The manufacturer, which has since produced more than 189,000 aircraft, was incorporated in 1927.
NAC Aviation, Raytheon’s UK distributor for both Hawker and Beechcraft aircraft, is relocating to Oxford Airport in central England from Farnborough Airport, southwest of London. According to the company, the move will give it the space to offer turnkey aircraft-management packages to business aviation clients, as well as executive charter.

Field Aviation Sales of Mississauga, Ontario, an authorized international sales rep for Raytheon Aircraft and its Beechcraft and Hawker products in Canada, now counts among its products Raytheon’s new Beechcraft King Air C90GT. The airplane was certified in December last year by the FAA and now has the approval of Transport Canada, effective September 29. Field Aviation has purchased two slots in this year’s production run of 56 aircraft.
