MRO Premier Turbines has invested more than $1 million in a realignment of its Neosho, Mo. Rolls-Royce M250 repair and overhaul area. The goal was to facilitate production efficiency and reduce turn time with improvements touching on all aspects of the program, including test-cell upgrades, additional tooling and shop aids, and a reflow of the production floor layout.
GE Aviation, which bought Walter Engines last year, has selected Premier Turbines as a designated repair center in North and South America for the M601 and upcoming H80 turboprop engines. The M601 will continue to be overhauled at GE Aviation Czech’s facility in Prague.
CD Aviation Services (CDAS) of Neosho, Mo., a turbine engine maintenance facility, was awarded the Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) Diamond Certificate of Excellence in recognition of participation in and dedication to continuing aviation maintenance training.
On September 4 Dallas Airmotive officially opens its regional turbine engine shop in Boynton Beach, Fla., just south of West Palm Beach. The new facility expands the company’s network of locations where it provides comprehensive inspections and maintenance for Honeywell TFE731s and Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6s and JT15Ds. Dallas Airmotive further expanded its operations with the recent acquisition from Sabreliner Corp.
Premier Turbines (Booth No. 2053), an engine overhaul and component/accessory repair shop based in Neosho, Mo., recently launched a quick-turnaround service for component repairs and specialized processes. The new service, named the Bullet Shop, guarantees return of parts within 10 working days of the date of receipt.
Dallas Airmotive’s late-September announcement that it would be closing its Millville, N.J. facility caused something of a stir. Much of the concern focuses on the loss of more than 240 jobs, but some concern stems from the company’s long history.
Neosho, Mo.-based CD Aviation Services has opened a Honeywell authorized service center on Calgary International Airport in Alberta, Canada for the TPE331 and TFE731 as well as for the GTCP 30/36 and RE100/220 APUs.
Neosho, Mo.-based CD Aviation Services (CDAS) has opened an office in Sweden. It will be staffed by Marko Huhtaniska, who will be responsible for sales and service support throughout the EU.
Premier Turbines, a division of Dallas Airmotive, has added -20, -40 and -60 models to its TFE731 Core Zone Inspections (CZI) program. As a result, the company now offers CZIs on all TFE731 turbofan engines. Neosho, Mo.-based Premier, a Honeywell authorized heavy maintenance facility since 1996, has also modified an engine test cell to support this program.
