JetEx has officially opened its new FBO at Paris Le Bourget Airport. The Dubai-based business aviation services group has big ambitions to expand internationally and sees its new French operator as a key first step.
FBO Manager software is now back in the hands of Michael Barron and Barry Kress, who used to work for Cornerstone Logic. Universal Weather & Aviation bought FBO Manager from Cornerstone in 2006, but recently sold the FBO management software system to Barron and Kress, who have rebranded the company as FBO Plus.

JetSet Media of Kansas City, Mo., has signed up Jet Aviation’s U.S. FBO network for installation of JetSet’s free digital signage system. FBOs can install the free system, which includes a large plasma or liquid crystal display in their lobbies, in exchange for allowing JetSet to run advertisements on the units, which the FBO can approve in advance.
The freshly refurbished FBO terminal at Atlantic’s Chicago Midway FBO is now open, featuring an extensively redesigned passenger waiting area with improved comfort and traffic flow features. The FBO’s café/vending area has doubled in size to provide visitors additional dining space, and Atlantic upgraded the pilot lounge with new work stations, Internet connections and a large flat-screen television.
Cutter Aviation has designated Phillips 66 to be its exclusive fuel supplier at its four FBOs–at Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), Phoenix Deer Valley (DVT), El Paso (Texas) International (ELP) and Albuquerque (N.M.) International (ABQ). All but the Deer Valley FBO had been pumping Phillips fuel.

Atlantic Aviation (Booth No. 439) provided a recap of its recent rapid growth, its service philosophy and its future plans at a press conference at NBAA’07 on Tuesday. Atlantic became the largest FBO chain in the U.S. earlier this year, with 61 locations, following its acquisition of the Mercury Air Center FBO chain.
