BBA Aviation, the parent company of Signature Flight Support, released its annual report for last year and the results show that Signature's revenue climbed by 14.1 percent. The FBO network augmented its portfolio over the last year, adding bases in California, Florida and at Paris Le Bourget, for a total of 81 locations worldwide.

BBA Aviation, the UK-based parent company of FBO network Signature Flight Support, released its preliminary annual report for last year and the results are positive. Signature augmented its portfolio by adding three bases–in California, Florida and at Paris Le Bourget. According to the company, continued investment in the quality and capacity of its FBOs will position it well to support the growing demand for business jet facilities.

Dassault Falcon Service (DFS) on April 1 officially began operations from Farnborough Airport, the main European business airport rival to Paris Le Bourget, which serves as DFS’s headquarters. DFS president Christian Sasso told AIN that his company has taken an office at Farnborough and that DFS already has a Falcon 900EX registered in the UK.

IBM Euroflight has become the first European corporate flight department to complete the new International Standards for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) certification process. The IS-BAO certificate now covers IBM’s European and U.S. flight departments, which are based respectively at Paris Le Bourget Airport and White Plains, N.Y.

Universal Weather & Aviation has said that it could take until the middle of next month before damage to its Paris Le Bourget FBO can be fully repaired. The facility suffered extensive fire and smoke damage during an overnight blaze on January 3, with the lounge areas being the worst affected.

Signature Flight Support has purchased Le Terminal at Paris Le Bourget Airport. Le Terminal was formerly a private aviation facility and consists of a six-story office building, two adjoining hangars and about three acres of ramp space.

Embraer is preparing to mark the centennial next year of the first flight of Alberto Santos-Dumont’s 14 Bis biplane with a display at its Le Bourget static exhibition of the first of three 14 Bis replicas built in Brazil. The first replica is next to Embraer’s Legacy business jet and will remain throughout the Paris Air Show.

France’s beleaguered President Jacques Chirac opened the 46th Paris Air Show here at Le Bourget yesterday. While his visit is intended primarily to cheerlead the country’s own aerospace and defense industry, he has lately proved to be a best friend to foreign exhibitors, too.
