Phillips 66 Aviation has launched a rewards program that promises to help pilots save money while flying or even driving to the airport. Customers using Fly Savvy Rewards with their Phillips 66 Aviation personal card will receive per-gallon discounts at nearly 900 company-branded FBOs and thousands of Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 gas stations nationwide. Pilots will receive their savings as a fuel statement credit for up to 110 gallons every qualifying billing cycle.
Phillips 66 Aviation announced here on Tuesday a new corporate credit card program featuring Avcard, a co-branded card with Phillips 66.
The new Phillips 66 Aviation Wings Card will provide acceptance at more than 7,200 locations globally, along with double WingPoints at participating FBOs.
The new corporate card will serve pilots and flight departments flying into the nation’s largest network of branded FBOs. Some 870 FBOs are part of the Phillips 66 Aviation network.
Delta Air Lines plans to manage the volatile cost of jet fuel by getting into the oil refining business, an airline industry first. On April 30 the carrier said its wholly owned Monroe Energy subsidiary will acquire a refinery complex southwest of Philadelphia from Houston-based Phillips 66 for $180 million.
Houston-based fuel provider Phillips 66 has added 85 former Exxon dealers to its network, bringing its total number of branded FBOs to 866 nationwide. The new locations, situated mainly on the West Coast, will be served by distributor World Fuel Services and participate in the Phillips 66 WingPoints rewards program.
Lafayette Aviation, the lone FBO at Purdue University Airport, has joined the Phillips 66 Aviation-branded dealer network. Located an hour northwest of Indianapolis at one of the busiest airports in the state, Lafayette Aviation provides oxygen service, flight training, hangars and aircraft rental, in addition to a pilot’s lounge and passenger terminal.
With 735 FBOs pumping its products, aviation fuel provider Phillips 66 (Booth No. 2927) claims the title of number-one branded aviation fuel network in the U.S. Its current size is the result of four years of building tools and marketing programs aimed at helping the FBOs that sell Phillips 66 products to grow their businesses, according to the company.
The Hiller Group is rebranding FBOs in 12 central states as Phillips 66 fuel dealers under a new agreement with Conoco-Phillips. Hiller was distributing Chevron fuel in that region, but Chevron Global Aviation and Hiller “mutually agreed to discontinue Chevron’s supply in this region,” according to Chevron.
Phillips 66 Aviation has reorganized its marketing and sales force as part of a broad-based effort to fortify customer relationships and develop new business opportunities. The reorganization brings a seasoned core of aviation industry veterans–from pilots and long-time fuel sales representatives, to fuel supply strategists and business development experts–to support company marketing initiatives.

ConocoPhillips has redesigned its Web site to help pilots find Phillips 66 FBOs and allow FBOs to take advantage of new technology. For FBOs, Conoco-Phillips offers the new WebSmart 66 service, which allows FBOs to create their own Web site hosted on the Phillips system.
