The Professional Aviation Maintenance Foundation (PAMF) has initiated the “Under Our Wing: Future Aviation Maintenance Professionals” campaign to help strengthen and expand the annual scholarships it provides to qualified students and Professional Aviation Maintenance Association members.

Pat Kinane, senior quality assurance auditor for AAR, told AIN he is pursuing the project as a dissertation study toward a Ph.D. in organizational psychology from Capalla University.

The board of directors of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (Pama) is moving ahead with a strategic plan following Pama’s separation from the SAE on June 1. The first step was hiring Potomac Management Resources to manage day-to-day operations.

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) has hired Potomac Management Resources to provide day-to-day administrative and management assistance with member services, growth, financial development, communications and industry relations.

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) has retained the services of Alexandria, Va.-based management firm Potomac Management Resources (PMR) to provide day-to-day administrative and management assistance. PAMA recently ended its affiliation with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

The July 2005 affiliation of the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association with the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) was intended to help PAMA provide more services to its members, but that venture is now over.

The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association has found a symposium formula that works. After breaking away from AS3 only to cancel its August 2008 symposium
in Wichita for lack of interest, PAMA hit a home run last month with its 2009 Aviation Maintenance and Management Symposium in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Cheryl Janke, CEO of Jet Repair Anywhere, has been re-elected to the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association’s Board of Directors. The 2009-2010 term will be Janke’s second with PAMA.

Janke’s Scottsdale-based company streamlines maintenance activities between aircraft operators and suppliers. Jet Repair Anywhere lists more than 6,000 repair stations worldwide and reaches more than 16,000 aircraft owners and operators.
