Representatives of Bombardier and Comac sign cooperation agreement in Shanghai.

Canada’s Bombardier Aerospace and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) signed a definitive agreement on March 21 to cooperate on four areas or “program commonalities” of their respective C Series and C919 narrowbody airliners.

Brazil’s Embraer (Chalet CD51) announced here yesterday that China’s Minsheng Financial Leasing (MSFL) is to purchase three of the company’s flagship Lineage 1000 bizjets, which are based on its best-selling E-Jet airliner family (the E190). According to Ernest Edwards, president of Embraer Executive Jets, the first jet may be delivered as soon as the first quarter of 2012.

A growing appetite among Indian carriers to serve regional routes makes the country a potentially big market for 250 regional jets with a capacity of up to 120 seats, according to Brazilian airframer Embraer. Twin-turboprop manufacturer ATR estimates in the next five years India will requirearound 100 aircraft,and 200 in the longer term.

BAE Systems and design consultancy Design Q have unveiled their latest interior concept for the Avro Business Jet, the ABJ Elegante.

Designed with “space and grandeur,” the Elegante is the fourth of five interiors commissioned by BAE from Worcestershire-based Design Q for different executive aircraft market segments.
